Women's Rights March, Barcelona
The right-wing Spanish government has reversed the rights of women to have abortions so that now 9 out of every ten abortions in Spain would be illegal under the new regime. On International Women's Day a protest was held in Barcelona because the Catalan state government disaggreed with this reversal of policy. It was a noisy but peaceful protest embracing all age groups and social classes.
